We had a chance to visit the factory during off hours. It's a lovely little factory that produces nice works. My mother is a batik artist and we've seen batik all over the world so we were happy to be able to see it. It was so interesting to see how to mass produce batik, because we've really only seen... My wife and I had fun visiting, learning the process, and trying it ourselves in making our own t-shirts. Casey was a great host, tour guide and teacher. Then we went to the store and bought a bunch of stuff for Christmas gifts. A must-visit when at Andros!

This is batik. Prints are made on material with wax. Colors are bright. The dresswear of the Bahamas. Called Androsia because it is made on Andros. A men's shirt is $45. Locals wear them when dressing up. Tourists wear them daily. Kinda like a local version of a guayabera shirt. Good quality.

This was so much fun learning to make our own hand stamped shirts. They we chose from all the beautiful odors to dye them. Neat tour and a lot of fun!

. High quality clothing. The Bahamian version of Hawaiian shirts. Batik, called Androsia. The signature clothing of the Bahamas. Most locals have at least one. Soft and nice fabric. Patterns are nice. Grabbed some shirts and napkins

Come here to purchase colorful fabrics and clothing with original, hand-done batik designs. I had read about this place a few years ago when researching the different islands of The Bahamas, and was very happy to finally set foot in the shop with my fiancée! They have blouses, dresses, men's button-down shirts, hand-bags, t-shirts and ladies accessories, as well as... More

I enjoyed seeing the timeless process used to make this lovely fabric. My husband enjoyed the visits which is surprising-he is so not a shopper. The only gifts I purchased were from here and were well received!

The Androsia factory is set back in the woods with very friendly staff. On one tour I was taken around to see the factory by one of the workers. On a second tour, I was free to wander around the factory. Seeing the wax molds and the yards of Androsia hanging on the line is very interesting.
