The caves were alright (but to be fair I’ve been through the protected, extensive caves in Belize so this doesn’t compare at all). The signage from the main road is decently direct- turn off the queens highway (go west- there’s a sign for the caves)...More

We turned at the road sign and drove our rental car along a track through a field. We parked when we could drive no farther. We gave up when there was no obvious place to go to find the cave.

We saw the sign for this cave and took the road leading to it. It is not well marked when you drive the long grass road leading in. We saw a grass opening along the road with a weird sign saying "Try Me" - however,...More

Bring a flashlight into this hole so you can fully appreciate what you see when you get down there. Saw a few bats flying around and noticed a bees nest near the entrance, but they didn't bother us.

Lots of trash and graffiti - you DEFINITELY need a flashlight. We saw a little bat, but didn't feel comfortable exploring more without a hefty flashlight.

I loved Hatchet Bay Cave, and we didn't go as far into it as I would have liked. We weren't prepared for the water so we turned back at that point (some of our group of five were already wanting to bail). Flashlights are a...More

It's a real cave with two open ends. One is some steps leading down and the other is a rope ladder. This adventure is impossible without some proper lighting. Some folks at one end were handing out candles but this just did not cut it....More

This cave was great! Make sure you have bright flashlights as it is very dark. There is a string to follow thru the bellows of this cave. At the other end is s rope ladder you can exit but we decided to go back to...More

3 couples mid 50's in Eleuthera in late August, off-season. a little challenging to find but totally worth it. you'll need good lights, decent shoes, and a sense of adventure. not sure I'd feel totally comfortable doing it alone or with one other, but it's...More
