Visited on a whim and so glad we did. Stunning and perfect for photography shots. Our Labrador Charlie loved swimming in the river.

This is an open ruin of a castle which is free with good signs and information. We had a walk around it after a lovely lunch at The Bell across the road. You can also visit the church nearby too. Skenfrith is well worth stopping...More

Impressive castle with a lovely tower in the centre. Information boards up. Limited parking outside and we had to drive past a couple of times before we got a spot but there were additional visitors preparing for a fun day. Just next to a river...More

Atmospheric castle ruin. Free entry, and worth a quick walk around The ruins are about 800 years old!

Interesting enough but it doesn't take more than 20 minutes to see it all. Very natural and uncommercialised which is lovely. A picnic by the river might be nice.

This photo is of the church not the castle! The castle is a ruin, so although interesting, not actually that much to see.

Passing through on way to Abergavenny, and accidentally discovered this interesting Castle. It's located close to a fairly fast flowing river, with various watersports, including canoeing and swimming. There's also a good pub close by with great food and lodging! Will visit again!
