We visited the tin works on a somewhat chilly and showery April day. Although the site is not huge, it was still a lovely afternoon. The waterfall is stunning and you can get pretty close. it was great for all ages with some interactive exhibits. Pretty bluebells can be seen up by the top tier for the waterfall. The tearoom... Took our grandson(aged 6) here today for a bit of history, he enjoyed the short cinema film need the gigantic water wheel, and we managed to have a picnic outside near the library. The grounds are quite small but there is plenty to see and do for an hour, plus they have a lovely tea room that was once the... More

Fascinating insight into the industrial history of Aberdulais through the ages. Was amazed to learn that Wales was the major tinplate manufacturer for the world at one time. Excellent information and videos showing the hard life the workers at Aberdulais endured. One poignant quotation was "we worked so hard the sweat ran out of our shoes". The whole area is... More

With taking my 99 year old Gdad (who will be 100 tomorrow) in a wheelchair; easy access with a fair few small children. Extremely knowledgeable and lovely staff with a really good café, we really enjoyed today. But isn't a place you would spend hours, but again really enjoyable xx

This certainly isn't one of your run of the mill stately home National Trust properties this is a monument to the hard working classes of Wales through the ages. It combines the natural beauty of the waterfall with the industrial man made beauty of the waterwheel and the ruggedness of the industrial buildings. It is only a small site but... More

We visited with our brother in law who is special needs and a greyhound. The staff were warm and welcoming and really helpful. They brought the dog a bowl of water. The site itself is interesting and beautiful. Well worth a visit.

Visited with 2 young children. Displays are informative and interesting but don't provide too much for children. Waterwheel and associated machinery is amazing and the kids loved inspection it. Waterfall is stunning, especially after a lot of rain. Could be improved by adding some interactive displays for children.

Visited on Mothers day and they had an offer on that mothers go free when accompanied with her children which was lovely. Very interesting place with plenty of history. The waterfall was impressive along with the still working water wheel. Children were given 'investigation bags' with activities & information in which they enjoyed doing. Fell really lucky with the weather... More
