This was a fabulous place to spend an afternoon. We took our dog with us on a boat and moored at Castle Crom Estate. The visitor center is very informative and interesting and we had a lovely long walk to the ruined castle.

The camping site is small and a single pitch rather small. I honestly do not want to camp there if fully booked. Fortunately (?!) for us the pitches around us were too muddy to put a tent on it. The facilities are relatively new but...More

Crom Estate has very nice walks etc but nothing special to justify £6 admission fee. Similar walks are free all over Ireland. It has a castle which is fenced off, rather far back from the public. I think Crom wants money but not necessarily people....More

Lovely place, nice views and walks. As with many national trust sites a bit pricy for the entrance fee.

We watched the Timothy West programme about Crom and decided to visit while we were in Ireland. We were not disappointed. What a beautiful place to visit and free with our National Trust Card. The Visitor Centre staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The...More
