This is a lovely area with good parking and a good range of scenic walks. On this visit we took the Loch Kinord walk which is just under 4 miles long. The paths are generally very good, but towards the end there are some uneven,...More

We went for a walk around all the walks available at the Muir of Dinnet Nature reserve. With weather on our side, we enjoyed the most peaceful walk with breathtaking scenery.

Visited the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve with my wife late last Saturday afternoon. Free parking, an interesting Visitors Centre, toilets, seating and picnic areas, but most of all four different walks to choose from. The Burn O' Vat walk is on the same...More

Walked up to the VAT, really enjoyed the the water flaw from the VAT. Beautiful scenes. Took a long walk along the loch kinord, came across narrow path and a dog that attacked my little daughter, then came across a small snake, which ruined the...More

A lovely walk iwith several walks to choose from. On the day we visited it it was very wet so took the shorter option. Unfortunately due to slippery stones underfoot we were unable to reach the waterfall. Will go back again in better weather

Park up and stroll, that's all you need to do. Once you cross the road you can decide which walk to take, we have done them all, but this is one of my favourites. It's a bit up and down, but not too strenuous. We...More

Went there at the weekend. What a scorcher of a day. Great walks and great views. As we walked around the loch on the largest of the walk we saw plenty of birds and animals like rabbits, lapwings and frogs. However, the highlight was the...More

There are various walks starting from the visitor's centre at Burn O'Vat. The paths are well marked and easy to follow. Some bits are rocky but generally easy to follow. We did the walk around the Loch in about 2 hours. It was lovely with...More

If you are able to walk well in uneven conditions you should be able to complete the longest walk around the loch. However, if a gentler walk is required, I suggest the Boardwalk, where the ground is more even. Either way... More
