This beach offers spectacular views of the island, but watch out if you want to go swimming - strong undercurrents can make swimming here dangerous.

Didn't know what to expect and I was impressed. It is wilder, less polished than the west coast. Almost Jurassic in look and feel. You can't swim in most places although I did spot a couple bathing in a more sheltered corner of the beach and the next beach along there were surfers catching a few waves, Large rocks carved... It was very relaxing, a great scenery of the sea with the shade of the trees. The fresh air to breathe just us and nature in our own little spot where we were very comfortable. We had our picnic, the rain fall a little but we didn't let a little shower stop us. We played games, laughed, talked and relaxed... More

In the grand scheme of things, the mushroom rock formations and rough ocean on Barbados' east coast, while interesting to look at, weren't as impressive as we expected. (We've been to Bay of Fundy, after all.) The beach here isn't a big deal and isn't recommended for swimming although apparently surfers like it. Would be a good area for an... More

We visited this wild and rugged beach on a recent trip to Barbados. There are some interesting rock formations that look like mushrooms, and the Atlantic surf is very strong here. Palm trees grow along the edge of the beach, and there are pretty cottages along the roadside.

This beach is completely different to any of the others that we visited. It is rugged with varied rock formation around the coast and boulders sitting in the sea. It is a surfers paradise with the big rollers coming in. Not recommended for swimming as it can be a bit wild. The beach is absolutely mesmerising and the perfect place... More

During our recent vacation we did a day long tour of the Barbados coastline, which included east coast stops at Little Bay, Cherry Tree Hill, Bathsheba and Cable Beach. I highly recommend seeing these spots to get the full picture of the magnificant coastline of Barbados. Not doubt about it, the western shore, particularly along Carlisle Bay, has beautiful beaches... More

Bathsheba Beach has beautiful mushroom rocks and views of the ocean but is not a good place to swim. it's a good way to compare the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

This is a must see spot in Barbados. Most folks stay on the gorgeous South and West cosats that have no waves and green waters. Just around the bend is Bathsheba. Rugged Atlantic ocean slamming into the coast. Once youre here you'll understand why Sports Illustrated has used this beach for so many swim suit shoots. There are two restaurant/bars... More

A good place to stop on your island tour not a place to go swimming - big waves. A few small bars with access to toilets.
