Jill and Casey are super cool and friendly! I am a student at the medical school on Saba and love taking breaks from the books to go snorkeling. They are very flexible and accommodating and full of so much knowledge. After exams we went on a sunset cruise with them and it was great to experience how full of life the water around our Little Rock was not only by day but also by night. We are so exited for break because we will definitely be getting our SCUBA cert with Saba divers.

There are a lot of great places to dive in the Caribbean. I've been to Mexico, Belize, Little Cayman, Turks & Caicos, Bonaire, Curacao, Utila, and St Lucia. Certainly there are others which I haven't yet seen. None of these rivals Saba. In my opinion, this is the best diving in the Caribbean. Saba Divers offers everything one could want to complement this amazing location. Competent and friendly staff, great boat, excellent gear. This is not a cattle boat operation. Groups are small. The dive sites are close to the harbor. When travel becomes feasible again, Saba and Saba Divers should move to the top of your diving bucket list.

If you’re a diver, dive Saba Island. If you dive Saba island this is your dive shop. Great communication, 3 great dives, small groups, no cattle calls, SNUBA divers or rushed experience. Everything was great from arranged transportation to ordering lunch between dives. Thanks for the great service - an A+ with little competition but still willing to go with great service! Jill - Go Bucks!

My husband and I recently spent 7 days in Saba and dove with Saba Divers for 5 days. We spent the first two days getting our Advanced Open Water certification, and did 2 or 3 dives every day. The entire dive shop is run by Casey, Jill and Sarah. They were super nice, professional, and really knowledgeable about diving as well as about the marine life we saw. The dive sites were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the Pinnacles! I would highly recommend diving in Saba, and going through Saba Divers.

We recently visited the island of Saba for Spring Break and used Saba Divers to get our open water scuba certification. They were extremely professional and did a fabulous job taking care of all of our needs. Our instructor JP was extremely patient and proficient in taking us through all of the required elements. He made this a very fun experience for our family that holds memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you JP!

We dove several times with the team at Saba Divers. They are consummate professionals, very friendly and patient, and work really hard to make diving both easy and fun. Casey, Jill and Sarah know everything about diving off Saba Island. We saw some of the most beautiful dive sites in the Caribbean with them. They’re flexible and fairly priced. When we return to Saba we will absolutely dive again with their team. Having visited many dive operators in the Caribbean over many years, Saba Divers is perhaps the best. Highly recommended!

Rodney, Meike, Elisa, Jarno, Bob and Laslo really showed us what it is to dive on Saba. Reef sharks in de deep (pinnacles), stingrays in the sand-patches between coral and over all: turtles, lots of turtles (Meike's favorite).
Saba Divers is an organised though very relaxed dive-centre that's working its way up to be one of the nicest centres in the Caribean. Just being started everybody puts in the effort to really make a beginning diver, a medium-diver and a dive master feel at ease and happy after each dive for what you've seen.
Being forced into a not so romatic corner of the only port on Saba, there is the comfort of brand new showers, toilets and centre there. Because the noisy powerplant in that port is bound to move to another region (up the hill) the port will instantly become more attractive in the near future. Equipment is in good nick and well looked after.
Me and my wife would certainly feel comfortable to recommend Saba Divers to anybody who wants to see underwater Saba. Allthough it might look like it, we don't have any connection to them financially or geneticly. Just a good dive-centre.

There is not enough good words that can be said about this professional, friendly, happy, knowledgeable dive team. Having quite a solid experience in diving around the world I learned, that diving experience depends not only from what you can see, but also who you dive with and what kind of people are organizing, leading dives... In the case of Saba divers it all was just exactly amazing. Elisa, Bob, Maike and Lazslo were very friendly, helpful, hardworking, fun and had tons of knowledge about the environment and its inhabitants. by the time we had to leave, we knew we will be coming back and not only for the stunning underwater of Saba, but also for meeting again those great people that we had honor to get to know :)
BOAT: excellent
SERVICE: could not be better
TEAM: amazing, knowledgeable, service and safety orientated
UNDERWATER: stunning
and at the last note - divers, who don't know how to treat nature with respect, should not be diving with this company. Amazingly enough not only the team is emphasizing importance of respectful behavior and is acting accordingly, but also people that dive with them are extremely conscious and would not tolerate any disrespectful behavior towards nature :)
THANK YOU GUYS A ZILLION, for really great time ! Without such a great team, our experience would not have been so special :)

I have been diving Saba for many years. I have been with the competition and, while I can't say anything bad about Saba Deep or Sea Saba, this outfit simply outshines them. I credit their "superiority" to their level of enthusiasm. Basically, the four divemasters clearly love diving and considering the excellent dive sites and visibility at Saba, why wouldn't they? Also, they all got along well with each other and worked as a team. (If you've ever been diving where this is not the case, you know it detracts from the experience.) The equipment was good and I recommend traveling light, just bring your dive card and let them do the rest. They made everyone's comfort and safety a priority regardless of the diver's experience. I want to recognize April in particular, as I watched her deal with a difficult customer to make sure he had a good dive experience while not inhibiting the experiences of the others aboard. I guess the only thing I could say negative would be that the boat is not very pretty, needs some cosmetic attention. Overall, Saba Divers is the best choice to make while diving Saba.

I snorkel and do not dive. As there are no beaches on Saba, I went out on a dive boat with some divers to snorkel. The staff were amazingly great and accommodating to me, a single snorkeler. The dive instructors were new to the island but had great info and experiences to share. They were excellent! They made sure that the sites we went to were good for snorkelers and divers and I was thrilled by my experience - not to mention the views of the island from the sea. I would recommend this organization for divers and snorkelers alike. They are also conveniently based out of a cool spot in Windwardside that has a hotel and bar/restaurant with some action. Check it out! :-)

How many dives are available each day, is it just 2 morning dives? Or are there morning and afternoon dives available?

We operate 3 dives a day and meet at the harbor at 8:30 am 10:30 am and 12:30 am. The first dive of the day is gernarally a deep dive 30+ meters and the dives become shallower from there!! Hope this helps please let us know if you have any more questions!!!

My husband is newly OW certified and does not want to dive more than 60ft. We had thought about diving in Saba while we are in SXM in a couple of weeks but it seems most sites are in the 100ft range. Are there sites he can dive and are they worth the travel and expense?

Yes. No worries regarding that . Saba divers can accommodate you

Is diving in the first week of October good, or are we at risk of poor vid and difficult conditions due to the weather? Thanks

Hi, thanks for your question.
It's hard to predict at this point, but it is hurricane season at that time of the year, so there is always a chance that there is a storm, which can of course interfere in the diving.
If there is no storm, usually we have very nice and calm weather in October.
Sorry that I can't give a more precise answer on your question and I hope that I was still able to help!

We are staying in St. Maarten at the end of June, and are thinking of planning a day trip to Saba. Can a dive or dive(s) be arranged in a day trip if we take a ferry or a plane?
Written 10 May 2016
Absolutely Call Saba Divers and they will set it up. The flight out and back from St. Martin is low level DAN feels is safe for no DCI risk. Saba divers will pick you up at airport and take you back. The ferry is a longer ride both ways but can work and drops you in the Marina where their boat is moored. We stayed on Island a week and Had fly over from St. Martin divers on the boat with us every day. Mirek and Vit are very helpful to set this up and will even pick you up a lunch.

I dove with them over Christmas... brought some of my own and they had plenty of equipment to fill in what I didn't bring along. Lovely team, nice boat, nice shop. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Are you located in a resort or do you recommend a resort to stay in that would be convenient to your operation ?

Yes, we are located at Scout's Place Hotel & Restaurant. It is convenient located in the center of the small village of Windwardside, close to shops, attractions and other restaurants are all in walking distance. We recommend the hotel and its facilities. Looking forward seeing you on Saba.
