There's something here for everyone. We managed, with some effort, to get my mother-in-law, who is wheel chair bound, around the whole area. I was impressed by the way due attention had been paid to safety, given that some animals could be petted, but some...More

I have read reviews which have criticised Hillside over facilities, etc. We have to remember what Hillside is about. It is about rescuing and caring for animals. It is not about swings for kids and various playthings. Hillside do fantastic work investigating people and businesses...More

Visited here as a couple, what an amazing and informative visit it turned out to be. We even as adults, learned about the intense farming methods used to produce some of our foods, which I must admit we used to purchase. Never again will we...More

Hi. The rescue isn't open in the winter. Best thing to do is check Hillsides website before travelling. Or phone them. Well worth a visit. Well worth donating your spare cash too.

All dogs are allowed at the sanctuary, obviously they have to be under control as there are animals there. The rescue dogs are not at West Runton, they are at Frettenham.
