One of the cleanest and serene places. We enjoyed a lot. We were staying at Camerin Hughland Resorts. A very Anglo vintage place, which is very well maintained and clean. We loved our stay. We did do the general visits like the tea gardens, sheep feeding, Flower Gardens etc. It was really very busy over the weekend though. But worth the visit.

Loved the trek up - went up trail 3 and down trail 7 to end at MARDI (pass on that, can check my review out there under MARDI). Probably takes 3-4 hours for the entire trek, up and down.

Unfortunately it is very dirty. Wastte from builders everywhere. Plastic is decorating the roads, rivers and Forrest.

We started this trail from Arcadia cottage. I advise you download maps.me app which is a fantastic offline maps app for using in Malaysia. This helped us find the trails so well as we would’ve really struggled without, as some parts of the trail are very overgrown and difficult to follow. You need good walking boots or shoes, plenty of water and insect repellant. The trails are tough going and you need to be quite fit, but it was really rewarding and so much fun to do something different!

The CH have beautiful trails and they are building so many places for people to stay, but their trails all need serious maintenance and pruning. If you can get past that, then you will enjoy the trail.

We found it difficult to find until we found a guidebook with details of the trailhead. Local maps are generally poor. The trail had some great views but the fallen trees made the going hard, so we got less far up the trail than we hoped. We hope to explore it again in the future.

Most of the trails are closed November to January ( I could not see this in any information before we booked to visit) . This was the main reason we came to this area. This time of year is wet and hence muddy . It is also very busy as it’s school holidays. The main towns are unpleasant and although the tea plantations are pleasant they were far too busy. I cannot see any reason why anyone other than local people would want to visit this place. This footpath was not marked from the road and we took a while to find it , being almost attacked by dogs in the process. We didn’t venture far as it was muddy.

I attempted trail 1 before finding it was closed halfway up. I then went to do trail 2 followed by trail 3. The two together took 4-5 hours and was really challenging in total. The hill top ascent is steep and it had been raining recently which made it slippy. Its began riding hard on the way down and I had to slide bits of it, make sure it is dry for the hill top, if it is going to rain I recommend doing it another time.

This is amazing to look and stare at the beauty of nature and how beautiful it looks with the mist in this highland.

This is was a bit challengy - sometimes steps are really high. Nice walking trail but there's no spectacular view at the top
