So beautiful the Tatacoa desert but is very hot.Maybe you see goats. There are different colors of the soil from yellow-orange-red.I went white my child of seventh years old and with a girl that is eleventh years old.

We stayed in Neiva and traveled to the Desert by car. Unfortunately it was a windy day, but it was very beautiful nonetheless. I would love to have spent more time there.

We visited the desert on our own, without a guide. Stunning views! We had to drive hours to get there, but definitely worthwhile. Highly recommended!

Tatacoa desert is not easy to get to. There were two ways to reach the desert: tuk tuk or motorbike - price for tuk tuk is 45 euro for two person and motorbike 35 euro. Tuk tuk is comfortable, however the road to the desert...More

Unique habitat of dry forest, very unusual for Colombia. We were taken round by a local indigenous guide for a two hour walk, needing some stamina and good balance. Not suitable for frail or disabled. No water, food or toilet stops, uneven ground and lots...More

You can see all with just a four hour tuktuk tour, but it's very beautiful. Especially the red desert. The Grey is nice for swimming. But spend most of your time in the red! Don't get of the path.... You definitely get lost;)

I would have never imagined a place like this in Colombia. This seems like the perfect location for a western movie! Something that got me thinking is why isn't this a national park and why isn't there an entrance fee? Government needs to find out...More
