Steve and crew know how to take care of their guests. I have been to Mag Bay 4 times and each time is better than the previous trip. You can surf, SUP, kayak fish, ponga fish, snorkel, spearfish, hike or just chill and enjoy the tranquility. Just got back from another amazing week long adventure which included SUPing through the... More

2 great surf breaks, both work at low and high tides, off-the-grid camping. 70 ocean temps. Very limited access so there is no crowd factor. Hiking, SUP, snorkeling, swimming. Decent food. Fresh fish tacos and rancho hueveros. Spent a week surfing, surfing, and surfing, relaxing in a hammock, reading, eating and oh did I mention surfing?

Four of us, 2 couples, spent 3 days, 2 nights at whale camp with Mag Bay Tours and had an excellent time. This felt like a trip of a life-time as one other reviewer said for us too. We were treated so well at the camp it felt like we were royalty. The staff was excellent offering meals, whale watching,... More

Visited during the gray whale migration and stayed at Mag Bay's camp on Magdalena Island. Yes, it is camping but we had comfortable cots and excellent meals. The staff was friendly and satisfied our every whim. Looking out over the water from our tent was beautiful and the stars at night simply amazing. We saw a number of whales each time... More

We took the 7 day tour. We caught a New Zealand south swell and the waves were epic. The outer break was a bit big and scary for me (triple overhead), so I caught the break by the campsite and it was 10-12 foot faces just peeling away. In the bay was a bit smaller breaking real fast and fun.... More

This past month we had the great fortune of playing in the Baja. The absolute highlight of the trip were our 2 whale watching trips with Mag Bay Tours. We tried 2 different tours, the 1st being an overnight island camping tour at Mag Bay's camp on Magdalena Island. What an incredible place! The setting could not be more beautiful.... More

The review by mvptcws pretty well sums up what you get when you stay at the Mag Bay Tours camp site on Isla Magdalena. Splendid isolation, beautiful sunrises, magnificent view from your tent, great food, and amazing whale watching. In addition, sea lions, dolphins, birds (among them bald eagles), you see it all. The crews are great and cater to... More

We chose the one day whale watching tour and arrived on one of the windiest days of the year. Athough we were offered an alternative day we still chose to go. The gear provided was in excellent shape, the driver of the boat was superb. The owner was always very prompt in his replies to email enquiries. And we did... More

i just returned from a 3 day, 2 night 'camp tour' with Mag Bay Tours. What an amazing experience! It is a fun adventure getting over to the camp site (roughly 45 minute boat ride in good weather) with fantastic scenery, birds, and other wild life (we saw dolphin, sea lions, and whales). The camp site itself is great -... More

We just returned from our second trip to Los Cabos and Baja Mexico in as many months. My wife and I booked a full day excursion with MAG BAY TOURS to whale watch in Magdalena Bay at San Carlos. I must say it was one of the most enjoyable day trips we have ever taken. We saw Grey Whales and... More
