This beach is beautiful. The water is very shallow and calm so it is perfect to visit with children or people who can't swim. We took por paddleboards and explored other nearby beaches. Definitely one of our favorite spots in La Paz.

We drove all the way from Cabo San Lucas which took about two hours. Getting through Cabo with the road construction and navigating through the unknown streets of La Paz took some time. Allow yourself extra time if this is your first trip. We stopped...More

At low tide you can walk all the way across the bay. The water is warm and the sand is fine. Also the location of El Hongo (the mushroom rock).

We headed out to Balandra mid morning and the place was already busy! Rented chairs, table and umbrella on the beach and enjoyed the fabulous view. Also rented a SUP and took turns paddling in the cove. The water is so warm and shallow you'd...More

We felt very safe there and a sign near our palapa said camping allowed. But know that there are no restrooms! And that whole area is protected.

Does anyone know if there is a bus from Cabo to this beach? Also does anyone know if there is a boat or ferry of some sort to the island, or is that by tour only?
