Balandra is a protected beach with no restaurants and vendors It is extremely tranquil with no waves and it is not deep so you can walk a lot inside the small bay and water will hardly go above your knee level. Ideal for small children There is a small hill that you can hike to get outstanding views.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at balandra. Such a Wonderful beach. So quiet, so clean, clear water. Wow! Note the city bus comes here.

Balandra bay is a beautiful natural setting, within easy reach from La Paz. It is ideal for kids as the shallows extend forever and make for an inviting playground. The area is now very developed and hugely popular. The days of sitting there on the beach quietly by yourselves are definitely over. Many more palapas have been erected along the... More

We visited La Paz specifically to see Balandra Beach "The most beautiful beach in Mexico" we were not disappointed. We had the opportunity to return during high tide & go kayaking. It was amazing! During low tide we were able to walk to the mushroom rock & take great photos. It's definitely a place you have to see for yourself.... More

Very nice beach, but it is more for families or picnics. you cannot really swim. You can just relax. There are beaches around which are more spectacular.

Loved this beach and can't wait to go back. Clear, calm water that you can walk through or paddleboard on and gorgeous views. White sand and sand dunes to climb. Just a great place to spend the day.

This beach was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous water, impressive geology making for amazing views, and beautiful white sand. Very peaceful spot and a great place to spend the afternoon unwinding and getting some color.

This beach is gorgeous. Took us a bit to figure out how to rent paddle boards, but once we did we were all set! We went earlier on our second visit to get a palapa. This beach is an amazing place, services are limited, so bring your own food etc.

Beautiful sandy beach. Very shallow. Can walk almost anywhere especially at low tide. Not well maintained. Cigarette butts and garbage left on beach. Some mildly annoying peddlers. One creepy guy staring at women. No washrooms. Great kayaking at high tide.
