Only 2 rooms open and lots of construction going on. Not really worth visiting if you want a "full" Museo experience but I really enjoyed the photographs.

Rambling exhibits could have better organization. Mostly Spanish explanations - not easy for English-speaking visitors to follow. Not worth visiting if you are limited on time.

Only a downstairs exhibit of historic photographs and the upstairs dioramas were open to the public. The photos were from mainland Mexico so did not add to our understanding of the area, and the dioramas lack signage in any language. Would love to come back when there are more exhibits, and learn more about the La Paz area and its... More

Extremely limited exhibitions and most of the museum is going under a remodel! They should announce this a bit more so as to not dissapoint visitors.

Only 2 small areas were available to see, and there was no explanation for the items that were there. The woman collecting the admission fees had no change to give us when we paid to get in, but magically had plenty of change a few minutes later when the gift store clerk needed it!

We walked up to see this museum, on good work from locals, but found it is closed for a remodel. We heard it was great and will come back once it's reopened. The good part was that we walked around the town more and found good restaurants, coffee shops and visitor's center.

Only one small floor open in August of 2015, but it was fun to see. As others have mentioned, they are short on documentation. Mostly, this is a museum of dioramas, which, if I understood the docent correctly, is populated with actual artifacts. This seems unlikely, but it might be the case. Hardly anything is behind glass, so you get... More

We stopped by on August 1st but only two rooms were open. Not really worth going to until the work is done. Gift shop looks great, but not open on the weekends.

I wandered in to find a restroom. What I found was a beautifully restored open space, hung with art. The restroom was not only clean but charmingly decorated. There was a small cafe that looked appealing, but I didn't have a chance to try it. The entry has a beautifully exposed brick vaulted ceiling. A lovely place to stop and... More
