If you have the time i recommend this trip, but be aware it does take all day. On the map the Isla is quite close to the mainland, but the sealion colony is actually on a rock north of the island that's north of Isla Espiritu Santo. Our Club Cantomar boat left an hour late and took 2 hours and... More

Amazing place - take a small Lancha from La Paz - you will not regret it. You can snorkel with baby sea lions, and the fish are numerous. Besides the sea lion rookery, there are many amazing beaches all around this island with crystal clear water. We were there in September, and the visibility was ridiculous - maybe 90+ feet.... More

The sea lions, sea lions, and the sea lions! They are the highlight of this island. The juveniles are extremely playful, curious, and adorable. They are like the puppies of the ocean. Be sure to stop by here if you have a chance. I was able to play around with the sea lions underwater since I dived there. But I... More

Swimming with sea lions??!? How could I give that anything but 5 stars?! The sea was very rough that day, and the staff on the charter said we might not be able to snorkel, but the sea lion colony hangs out on the side of the rock/island that is more calm and where the rocks block the rougher part of... Awesome experience! Beauty above and below the water. The exercise of kayaking was rewarded each day on a white sand beach with turquoise water and wonderful food and drink.

An incredibly beautiful island, not crowded. We swam with sea lions and it was one of the best experiences of our lives.

Scuba diving with the sea lions was so much fun. Like an underwater circus, they frolic and play and interact. Keep your hands to yourself though, as my husband was bitten!

This is a terrific place every time I visit & provides wealth of different experiences both above snd below the water. Abundant sea life and beaches. The bugs can be irritating so bring DEET or other insect repellent.

Stunning beaches, dramatic scenery, snorkeling with sea lions and on corals - it was the best day on our Baja trip. We also did the whale shark safari before heading out to the island. Easy to organize from the Malecon - plenty of boats waiting for business there. 6000 pesos for a private trip for 4, full day including whale... More

OCT 24, 2015... Paceño mafia has taken over Tecolote beach island tours. Just had a couple of tourists tell us some curly blonde representing island tours wanted $400 usd, let me spell this out for future victims... FOUR HUNDRED FEDERAL RESERVE DOLLARS for a 3 hour Espiritu Santo open boat trip WITHOUT SNORKELING TIME OR GEAR. Now all you Paceño mafia apologists, BE CLEAR

this is NOT a misunderstanding. La Paz has become the rip-off capital of Baja Sur. A month earlier a couple of tourists didi the same

Tecolote panga island trip and the ominous captain, employee of a well-known local trip operator, had an engine problem, and NO RADIO

to call for help AND when the Mex Coast Guard/Marina co-incidentally cruised by within shouting range, the pirate captain told the tourist to be quiet and and not to wave. BOTTOM LINE, they sent 8 hours in limbo, idiot paceño pirate fake captain, NO RADIO, NO OPERATOR's LICENSE, NO PARK PERMITS on hand and "head office" did not wonder why idiot paceño pirate fake captain did not return after a few scheduled hours either, a horror experience of idiot paceño pirate proportions that seems to become standard experience in this town of peace, WTF? and after that they got stopped by 2 transito cops in a white pickup and taken for $30 USD

for allegedly rolling thru a stop sign parallel to the cop car. SO you tell me, how many bad idiot apples does it take until you realize

this city is an unpleasant, ugly shi't pile infested by paceño pirates? The Holy Island Spirit would turn in its creepy catholic grave, if only

it existed. Amen.
