RED Travel Mexico provides world class conservation adventures along the Baja California peninsula and coast of mainland Mexico. Whether gray whales, sea turtles, migratory birds or mangrove forests, RED’s ecotours actively support preservation of species and habitat in addition to strengthening communities, celebrating traditional culture, and supporting sustainable local economies. We went out with Andrea (naturalist) and Mario (captain) and had the most amazing day! Mario's excellent boatmanship made the ride out to Isla Espíritu Santo fun and exciting. Andrea pointed out the coolest things, told great stories and knew how to get the sea lions playing with us. She also helped ease the anxiety of one of the teens... More

Our first Baja experience was a week-long flying trip from San Diego to San Felipe, then down to Bahia de Los Angeles, over to Guerrero Negro and back. We had a great time and saw Finback and Gray Whales galore, but we wanted to learn more and have a more intimate experience. When we decided to return we knew we... More

After returning to La Paz a few months after my first visit there, I was wanting to go a bit beyond the tours for the masses, and was thrilled to find a travel company that combined a Whale Shark swim AND Espiritu Santos AND a short hike on the island. Their organization was top notch, emails were always answered in... More

Red Travel facilitated an amazing experience. They are focused on providing a top notch tour with conservation in mind. Swimming with whale sharks was an unforgettable experience. When weather closed the harbor and our plans had to change, they quickly provided an alternative activity. Their camp for getting to see sea turtles and gray whales was quite an experience. Although... More

Just finished up my second trip with Red and was very impressed. Their operation is very well done, their tent camp is a unique and special place, and their guides and staff are extremely personable and professional. I highly recommend Red's trips.

Travelled with my parents and boyfriend on a 4 night trip to see the grey whales and Espiritu Santo. Our guide, Dany, was really great: knowledgeable and friendly. We stayed in beautiful hotels, travelled comfortably, and had delicious meals.

Our 8 day, custom holidays went by too quickly, but we did get to experience that part of Mexico, which is very different from the mainland east coast. Both our Red Travel guide Citlai and driver Silvia were fabulous and worked well to make sure all our needs were taken care of. We worked on an itinerary with Jamie before... More

We were unable to do the 2 day trip so Nuria and Pedro planned a 1 day trip. They picked us up at our hotel and filled us with interesting facts about the country and geology and history as we drove and answered our many questions. The panga boat and driver were wonderful and we saw whales for hours right... More

I worked with Red Travel to create a custom 6 day itinerary for a last-minute getaway with my husband over New Year's. We entrusted our entire trip to Red starting with Jaime, who is perfect at his job: pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and professional. He promptly answered all my questions (we worked together entirely by email) and provided a variety of... More
