Yes, it is safe. Stay with a group and make sure someone stays sober to watch over the group. Stay in the tourist areas.
We are planning a trip with kids in April. What is the weather like in April? Is it still to cold to wear shorts and t-shirts?

April is perfect, maybe a little chilly at night but definitely t-shirt weather. Enjoy your trip

Fridge is in each room. All floors have ice machines with purified ice. All amenities are excellent.
