I took a tour from my cruise expecting some good snorkelling and a nice quiet beach. I was disappointed both times. The reef is in bad shape.....the coral is just brown and looking poor. There are few fish. The beach on the other is full of palm-covered huts selling beer etc. Lots of noise and LOTS of people....mainly locals and... More

I went here to snorkel and it was really easy: rent some gear from one of the places on the beach (or bring your own), then walk right into the water and start swimming toward the rocks to the left. There are corals close to shore and the water is clear and warm. Saw some colourful fish and took many... More

Our group of 14 stopped here as part of a boat tour. We were able to enjoy snorkelling and time in the water. It was early in the day so it was relatively empty. Perfect for relaxing.

For a mear 40 pesos from our hotel, Villablanco, we took a taxis ride here a few times to enjoy the beach and snorkel. You can take your out lunch and refreshments or by from many vendors. Loved the beach and the locals and their families.

Our mistake, visiting this beach over Easter holidays. Could not move there were so many people. Recommend going during off season.

The image of the beach would be completely beautiful as long as the tons of restaurants on the sand had at least nice music. Very bad karaoke & the beach can be dirty just because of the amount of people. The history of the beach is in fact outstanding once its name comes from one of the more sad moments... More

This beach is amazing for snorkeling, eating and having a fun time. We sat at the front of the Entrega Restaurant and the service was impeccable, the beer was cold and the food excellent, what more could one ask for while in paradise. When visiting Huatulco you must try this spot, it is absolutely breathtaking. Go, GO, GO

Awesome spot! Calm water and good smirking. Had a wonderful afternoon. Try the shrimp in a half pineapple. To die for!

We came here as part of a snorkeling excursion with Oaxaca Expediciones. Go during the week when it is less crowded, and you can reserve a table at one of the restaurants for the whole day. Snorkeling is fun as the bay is protected from the dramatic Pacific surf, and the fish are plentiful and varied. Great relaxing way to... More

We spent a day here as our first Huatulco snorkelling location. We enjoyed it, but we enjoyed San Augustin more. It's easy to get to from down (70 pesos I think?) making it very accessible without a ton of hassle. Get there before 10 to avoid some of the crowds and find your spot.
