Actually, the ruins is nothing special. But the wildlife is! During a one-hour daytime walk we have seen a lot of birds, lizards and four young armadillos! My wife was unable to resist touching two of them!

We walked 30 minutes from our resort and spent the morning wandering the park. We enjoyed seeing the artifacts in the museum and the uncovered sites. It in't as grand as the more well known ruins but it is still fascinating to see this work...More

We booked with Parisio and would NOT recommend especially if you don't speak Spanish. Great place to visit.

We had such a great day checking this place out. As many have said, the ruins won't compare to others, but still pretty amazing to enjoy a day trip. The museum has some very cool artifacts. The paths are largely shaded for the most part,...More

This was a fun thing to do, although we went on a VERY hot day. Bring water, be prepared for the heat.

Our guide, Huatulco Bird Guide Cornelio Ramos Gabriel, took us here on Feb 9, 2018. We spent about an hour walking around and viewing the ruins. Cornelio knew all the structures and was more informative than the literature. Flush toilets are free. You have to...More

Its true this isn’t as grand or dramatic as Tulum or Chichen Itza or even Ek Balam but Copalia is just as beautiful, in a different way. We took ourselves through the park and it took us about 2 hours. The climb to the highest...More

I believe so. They have steps, but different paths to take around. However the path to the ruin is not a smooth cement pathway, I believe it's kind of rocky in some points.
