We walked around the Malecon area and downtown. We found some great places to have a bite to eat and some interesting sites. We were surprised at the size of the container port here. Very busy rail and container port.

Definitely a working port, good deals in the little shops, great ice cream, check out the little cooking shacks for great food. We enjoyed our afternoon. Absolutely the place to start for your sport fishing experience.
