The start of the climb up was only about a mile from my hotel in Old Town. I jogged over there and incorporated the ascent as part of my morning workout. The climb itself is about 7/10ths of a mile (1.1 km) with about 400' of climbing. The first third is a rough dirt road, followed by about 400 concrete... More

This year you could say I was not in the best physical condition. It became a very tough walk for me. Good thing we went up early around 8:45 am before it really started to get hot. Once at the top there are ample locations to find shade. the views are absolutely stunning. Bring the camera.

Be prepared for a workout. Bring water. Wear good shoes. The views at the top are worth it. Not a typical lighthouse like the US. The climb to the top is natural and then includes over 300 steps.

This hike took us two, in our late 60's, about 30 minutes one way on a very hot and humid morning in early October.Begin this trip early when the weather is warm It is a very popular trail for locals getting their exercise. The first part of the hike was steady uphill on a path. The last climb was on... More

Very dusty, dirty and windy road filled with trash and famished stray animals awaiting a hand out. Many locals use this to exercise. The view at the top is great but the filth is a little hard to take yet we are used to Mexico's lack of street cleanliness as we have lived here five years. It is sad they... More

We had to climb up to see what was there- the building itself isn't anything special- in fact, really not worth going in, but the views were amazing. The climb up was at times death-defying and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack, but once we got to the top, it was well worth it. It's... More

Good mount to hike. Once up there you'll see that it is a great place to chill and enjoy the view. Pack a lunch, snack and beverages. Liquids are a must!

Amazing view of all of mazatlan, and water as far as you can see. Completely breathtaking! 100% recommend this if you can handle hikes, go at sunset!
