Charming square full of night life, handmade goods, restaurants.

My family and I visited on a Sunday evening, and enjoyed live music and a delicious meal on the patio at Gaia.

We went during day of the dead. This was an amazing thing to be a part of..... A couple days before we were here and it was a nice place to tour for free. But on day of the dead(also free) it comes alive with the most amazing parade, fire works, beer carts. Soooooo much fun and definitely one of... More

An unassuming doorway leads you into the most intriguing restaurant in all of Mazatlan. A large menu, open for lunch and dinner I think....go early because the Mexican people et... More

Watching the workers put up Christmas decorations. In the evenings, the restaurants that surround the plaza put tables out in the street and... More

Excellent place for an incredible evening, it is a very nice square, with different options, among bars, coffees and restaurants.

The Plaza Machado is anchored on one end by the Casa Machado, home of wealthy Filipino traders, and on the other end by the Escuela Municipal de Arte. In between are loads of restaurants, all with outdoor seating, to choose from. Most nights there is live music. The setting is very scenic, with arches, historic architecture, a kiosk in the... We only passed through a few times. Was lovely at night. Restaurants appeared to look inviting and have wonderful ambiance. If we had had more time we would have eaten in the square!
