Sea Shell City has been open since 1979, we open with the idea of giving a glimpse of the treasures of the sea to all our visitor . We sell all kind of shell from all over the world, beach clothes and jewerly. On our second floor we have a fountain completly covered with sea shells which took 2 years to the artists to complete it, on that same floor we have a display of our personal sea shell collection.

In our travels we have always been interested in shells or other "pretty things" that come from the sea. Tahiti, Cancun, China, or even north San Diego County, Calif where I now reside most of the time, are favorites. Although our hotel in Mazatlan was...More

Thank you very much for your visit Evenyl. It is a shame you couldn't make to the second floor, is where the museum is, there is also a pretty impresive fountain made of sea shells, we hope that on your next visit to Mazatlán you...More

This is not a museum! It is free entry for a business that profits from shell collection. If you make a purchase here you could be encouraging the illegal collection of replacement shells. There was no way to know if the shells and coral were...More

This was an okay outing for the quick walk it was from the hotel. It wasn't at all what I was expecting however. I expected someone to spend more time talking to us about the shells. All in all, I wouldn't waste my money.

Neat tourist spot to get souvenirs or just look around. Everything is made out of seashells, from small pieces to large hanging plant holders.

This is a shop, not a museum. It's sort of cool to walk around and admire the vast variety of shells, but be prepared to be followed around and watched like a hawk. You break, you buy- we have never broken anything in there, or...More

This is NOT a museum. Someone who loves shells ran out of room in their home/garage/mom's home/grandparent's home and created this place. It is a store to buy shells and things made from shells with a couple fish in tanks upstairs in the "museum" portion...More
