It is really fun to walk down the malecon. Lots of beautiful sculptures and things to see. We felt very safe at all times. We were a family of five!

A wonderful place to talk a walk and enjoy the ocean without getting sand in your shoes. Paradise on earth!

Maybe it was because it was Easter Day but this place was packed. I mean most of the beach was covered with umbrellas and people. Lots of traffic and street vendors selling food and souvenirs. It was interesting to see people feeding the frigate birds....More

Very nice part of the city - we enjoyed touring around on Segway's where we had the opportunity to watch cliff divers.

I spent two weeks in Centro Historico Mazatlan this year and walked this portion of the Malecon every day! This wide gently winding sidewalk overlooks the swells of the Pacific which creates a fresh exciting setting to go for a brisk walk with many spots...More

Whenever you visit Mazatlan take the time to walk the Malecon, you won't regret it. If you get there early enough you can feed the pelicans and frigates with fish from the fish boats.

No, you cannot walk from the cruise ships. We stopped on a tour that included the Malecon booked onboard the ship.

qiute short, I would say about 7-8 blocks from EL Cid Granada, go in the morning, the breeze is nice, and stop at the Panama for a treat and coffee.
