Refreshing to see the contrast from the old and the new. A wonderful experience, a must see. The green lush hides the older buildings making a beautiful backdrop.

Very walkable area including people watching from the town square (they have Farmers market Year-round on Saturdays), window shopping, walking by the shopping Bazzar on the north side of the Pedestrian walkway between Old Town and The Malecon area. There are many small Cafes, restaurants and bars in Old Town. to and from have a beer in the Experience true... More

The streets in Old PV are so charming. You'll likely eat plenty while you're here, there are great beach front restaurants (La Palapa was my fave) and you'll get to walk off the calories you consume on your walks back to your hotel. The streets are narrow and made of cobblestone which adds to the charm of the place. It's... More

So many shops and restaurants. Amazing choices. Beautiful in old town. Spend the entire day or maybe 2. Wear good shoes and don't forget to hit a few tequila bars.

We took a charter boat( party boat) to Puerto Vallarta's little island, it was the best place every. Lots of entertainment, the people were very friendly, we had candle light dinner on the beach, and watch the sun go down. Can't wait to go back.

Puerto Vallarta's old town (historic center) is what makes this destination so different from all other beach town resort. It's truly its heartbeat and a real downtown area where tourists mix with local residents. Although there are lots of services and attractions for tourists (cafes, restaurants, hotels, bars, art galleries, shops, spas, etc.) this is a real town that was... More

Old town has a bit more Mexico about it than the resorts. Wander the cobbled streets and malecon. Lots of restaurants bars etc. much more interesting than marina area or new Vallarta which unless you just want to spend your time in the resort is along way from downtown.
