Quality shows and venue!

We went to Teatro Vallarta to see Fandango. There are no bad seats. The seating area is steep with no obstructions. Prices are based closeness to the stage for your reserved seat. The sound system is fine.

We saw two shows during our stay and enjoyed them both. The first was a Baile Foklorico, which included music, dance and costumes from the different regions of Mexico. This show was fantastic!!! Definitely a first rate performance! The second show was "The Frozen Queen", which was performed by Russian ice skaters. It was entertaining, but not nearly the caliber... More

Well, I live in Puerto Vallarta 3 months every year, so I'm always up for interesting live performance and the Teatro Vallarta can be a nice touch for an evening of fine dining. This year I had the opportunity to get the best seats in the house for a show put on by the Hungarian Ballet. The good news is... More

We went to see an HD transmission live from the Royal Opera. While there was nothing wrong with the transmission, the theater does not have a movie screen and the projection was on a scalloped show curtain. Everything was out of focus and the drapery made it all look strangely underwater. Still, I would go again if this is the... More

This is an old movie house that has been redeveloped for live entertainment. The seating is sloped, so that the sight lines are unobstructed. The theater is pleasant enough. But don't expect any type of ushering to your seats. It is not a big theater, so there is no problem finding you seat yourself. Minimal redecorating.

When you go to Vallarta, you are really not thinking in plays and performance, but having an extra option to relax and have fun is well appreciated. The theater in located nearby the Malecon, in a popular but safe zone. The interiors of the theater are great, you really don’t think is that fancy and neat until you are inside.... More

I was here for the Aztecaspirit peformance on Feb 4th, 2012. It was my first performance seen at the Teatro. It is a modern facility. The stairs into the venue are quite steep, as well as the seating. If you have mobility issues this may NOT be the place to visit unless you are seated below near the stage.

PV doesnt' have much in the way of culture. I've gone here for a couple of ballets and unfortunately Mexicans love to take flash pictures during live performances. It's distracting and if you are a gringo, it'll upset you. Don't bother going for any fine art performances. Concerts and Fandango are fine. FYI, the ballets are pretty 3rd rate.
