Went to Tampa and Mascota on the tour and we learned so much. Our tour guide was Martha, who was raised here and had tons of knowledge of the area. The tour is a long one - around ten hours but the day passed so quickly. The churches were so beautiful and the history so interesting. You are given a... More

Rubi was our guide and Juan Carlos our driver. The pair were great together. Was in total awe of Rubi's knowledge, pride and passion of this beautiful country. Both towns were wonderfully cultural, interesting and beautiful. Loved the visit to the agricultural technical college where local children are taught essential life skills to continue the line of succession in this... More

When you visit Puerto Vallarta, make sure to book the Talpa & Mascota tour through Vallarta Adventures. Many people take the tour to San Sebastian which is also good but you are definitely missing out if you skip Talpa & Mascota. Both cities are charming and worth a visit. Mascota is a farming community and Talpa has a church where... More

This tour was led by Uziel Olvera, who was absolutely the greatest tour guide ever. He explained everything, made the entire trip most rewarding. San Pancho is a town that I could live in, in many ways. The decorations in Sayulita for Dia de los Muertos were worth the trip to PVR. Highly recommend Vallarta Adventures.

The tour to mascota and talpa was great. Very nice to get out of the city. We visited a local farming high school, several churches and town squares, a 250 yr old home and a very peaceful B&B where we had a late lunch. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get out of the crowds in PV and learning about... More

I was very skeptical of this tour at first however it turned out to be one of he best of the trip. The places visited the food we had were truly amazing and this wouldn't have been such a success without our guide Ruby. Ruby was knowledgeable, funny and made us feel like a true family on the tour like... More

Fernanda was an incredible guide. She had so many amazing stories about the region. She was so nice and pleasant. This is a really interesting tour if you want some culture and history about the region. Talpa is an amazing town. The prices for leather and tshirts and things is much better here than in pvt. The lunch was awesome.... More

Although it was quite a long day, we enjoyed it immensely. Both Mascota and Talpa offered a fascinating glimpse into the 'real' old Mexico. It was fiesta day in Talpa and we enjoyed seeing the pilgrims, who often had walked for several days to reach the church, accompanied into town by mariachi bands. We visited local bakeries and candy shops,... More

"What an amazing trip" We booked the tour through our Thompson rep, with Vallarta Tours. Our driver and guide Adolfo and Juan Carlos were brilliant, with their extensive knowledge of the towns and great sense of humour really made our day. We made our way through the mountains from Puerto Vallarta and stopped for a short while at the bridge... More

We opted for a private tour and it was fantastic. Our tour guide, Armando, was incredible and our driver, Fidel, did an awesome job too. We were picked up promptly at the assigned start time in a new, clean, air conditioned and comfortable van.
