At some point during your Zihua stay spend some time here. Just grab a drink at a nearby cafe and watch the fishermen haul their boats, or sell their fresh catch on the sand, or play checkers with each other. If you play checkers and speak Spanish you can probably get a game!

Beautiful views of the ocean, tons of little shops and street vendors. Open market and plenty of watering holes. I recommend a stroll through here.

Even of you are in Ixtapa or in town for just one day, take the time to stroll this classic paseo along the original Playa Central and fisherman's walk. Many good restaurants and classic stores, as well as SPA - ZIHUA, the local animal rescue league, which welcomes visitors and support for all its non-profit work in the community.

great places to eat, shop and stroll. Look for the tequila and mescal shop called Tequila Por Favor. You can taste before you buy and it's a selection you won't find at BevMo!

This place has a lot of shops but all exactly the same and nothing of much quality. I was very surprised, not better items to choose from.

Have a seat at the outdoor cafe/coffee shop, El Cafecito. Perfect place for both people watching and checking out the fishing boats as they come or go. Open til 10 p.m., I think Their photos on TripAdvisor don't do the place justice. It's all about the outside seating. One of the best locations for sipping coffee that you'll ever find.

Great place to be a tourist or, venture a little further into the back streets and join into the vibrant, colourful community vibe. Safest place I've experienced in just about any "south-of-the-border" location.

It is great to see all the fisherman displaying their catch for people to buy. Also, stop at the basketball court on Sunday night for entertainment and great eating off the food carts!

Our favorite time of day on Paseo de Pescador is early in the morning when the fishermen bring in their catch. You can watch the magnificent sunrise and select your fresh just caught fish for dinner. Take a leisurely stroll from the museum to the pier. You'll find a dozen restaurants, can shop for coffee, vanilla, jewelry, trinkets and more.... More
