Notable for it's importance in the varied uses of the structure thru colonial and post colonial history, this museum is so easy to enjoy for the variety of the collection. There really is something for anyone interested in the history and culture of the town! One has a great view from the galleries of the surrounding environs. The special exhibit... More

We. Loved. This. Museum. Well-preserved and well-displayed artifacts with historical context. "The mural." There is so much to see and understand; I could have stayed hours longer and been happy. For those who get tired of looking at "old stuff" there are also beautiful views of the city from the balconies.

Cool things inside to see. I really enjoyed the layout of the museum and all the things it offered. I was impressed.

This is a museum of Mexican history. It is one of the original buildings of Hernan Cortez. It is really not worth the money, but is interesting to look through. Right in the heart of downtown.

I recommend everyone set aside a good 2-3 hours while in Cuernavaca to visit this museum, although if you have areas/history in which you are most interested, you could go straight to those and spend an hour or so. If you have small children, they may enjoy just being in the building while older children may find certain pieces of... More

Give yourself at least 2 hours for the visit. Really informative and well laid-out. Could use more English info. Good views of Palacio Cortes. A must see.

I liked this museum so much, I went there twice in one week! It is small and easy to navigate in an hour or so. True, many of the explanatory signs are in Spanish, but since I speak it a little, it was not a big deal to me. I found the artifacts to be very interesting and some in... More

As others have noted, this is not the archaeology museum in Chapultepec Park. However, it has a solid collection, much of which relates to the surrounding state of Morelos. At various points, there are openings in the architecture so that you can see the construction dating back to the conquistadores. And there are a couple rooms with drawings and photographs... More

The museum itself is meh. But it's enjoyable to just wander around the building and see the ancient foundations. Also, the Diego Rivera mural is worth the price of admission alone.
