This historic building, made into a museum, is quite interesting in itself, including small looks into excavation of the pyramid it was built atop. The collection of artifacts includes some real gems, prehispanic as well as colonial, but the real star is the mural by Diego Rivera on the top balcony. It depicts the history of the conquest, subjugation and... More

This is a great collection. Everything is well maintained and it's a great history lesson. I learned a great amount about Mexico's history and the murals are gorgeous.

Nice museum showing the history to Mexico. Nothing in comparison to the Anthropology museum in Mexico City, but does a nice job!

This is a huge building, right in downtown Cuernavaca, by one of its two town squares. There are wonderful murals on some of the walls, and some interesting items. The most interesting thing to me is the building itself, over 500 years old.

The Cortes Palace is one of the most important museums in Cuernavaca, it is located in what used to be Corte's Palace, when he was stationed here during the conquest of Mexico, this is a must see for any tourist visiting Cuernavaca.

Spent several hours here. The part on the revolution was great as we see the other statues & art in the museum in Mexico City. Great murals by Diego Garcia done between 1929 - 1930. Worth the visit to see those.

The place is good but the surroundings are very dirty , tons of waste , which makes the experience very bad... there is a artisans market next to it, and they sell good products ...

Inside there is the Museo Cuauhnahuac, interesting museum at the former Palacio of Hernán Cortés. Amazing also with the night lighting.
