Beautiful Art

Very amazing place with spectacular artwork. The ceiling had artwork painted on them in the 1920's and was breathtaking.

Go on a Tuesday - its free! The murals are almost worth the 70 pesos but the rest of the museum's art was very disappointing to me. I guess conceptual modern art is not my thing. The building itself and grounds are beautiful. Im surprised this is the #1 thing to do in Guadalajara!

The cost for seniors was 70 pesos for two. The Orozco murals were impressive and exemplary of the history of Mexico since the invasion by Cortes in the 16th Century. Other exhibits by local artists and photographers were fascinating. The many rooms and open spaces were beautiful and a lovely oasis from the crowds.

If you are in Guadalajara's down town, this sis a place for you to go. The history and powerful cultural influence in Jalisco's cultural sphere is a must for those wanting to connect with the city's milestones

Full of history and fantastic architecture. This was an actual orphanige for many years. I have a relative that actually lived here for years and she tell us amazing stories about the nuns who cares for children.

This place has its own story to tell, it is a great place for concerts and art. I strongly recommend you to do some schedule-event research before visiting it.

Though rather empty when we visited, the two exhibits were immensely interesting. Both the exhibit devoted to Dr. Atl and the exhibit devoted to more modern artists were wonderful. We especially appreciated the photographs of the artists in their studios. The venue is free on Tuesdays.

Orozco murals are absolutely spectacular. Definitely recommend getting a guide as the young man who worked there and offered a free tour pointed out details and explained historical references that we never would have seen otherwise. This is a great place to learn a little bit about the history of Guadalajara and Mexico, and it won't take more than an... More

In order to get a valuable visit for this place you need to get the tour to get the explanation for al lthe paintings, I think Tuesday is free, anyways the quides are very well trained and know the history of the place very well, I wish we had more tour guides in other Mexico touristic places like them.
