I found this disgusting and based upon a myth. Where is the evidence that the cloak is genuine. A typical money making venture worth millions of dollars. I hope some goes to the poor beggars outside. I was stunned by the size of this farce....More

It was so precious and peaceful to be there. We went with a group as an incentive trip and spent as much time as possible.

Regarding the best place to stay; I hghly recommend the Fontan Reforma. It is a great place, in the centre with public transport right outside the hotel to and from the Basilica

When visiting the Catedral Metropolitana, I noticed that wearing shorts inside was forbidden out of respect. Is the same true for the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe? Thanks for your help!

It is no forbidden, however for respect is the most proper thing to do, no just in the Basilica of Guadalupe in every single, church, but that it is up to every person, it is more for respect overall.
