After touring the pyramids the day before, this museum gave you a full overview of the different people who inhabited Mexico. Very educational with artwork, stonework, pottery etc.. they also provide free tours approx. 45 mins long in English and Spanish. Definitely recommend.

This marvelous and large collection is magnificent and beautifully layed out in this stunning structure. The central patio canopy with the water feature is worth the price of admission alone. The building houses amazing pre-Colombian artifacts of all the different and varied cultures of Mexico. It gives you a splendid opportunity to be educated on some impressive civilizations. Give yourself... More

Really amazing place. We came late around 3pm, not nearly enough time to see nearly half of it. If you are not from Mexico get the QR before you come, because we couldn't download it when we got there. We are going back though!

World class in every way. Exhausting in it's size. We didn't quite make it through the first floor before we bailed. It gets to be overwhelming after a while. Highly recommend. Much of the "good stuff" from archeological sites around Mexico is here.

We went to this AMAZING place while also visiting close-by Tamayo and Modern Art museums... that was too much for one day, so I don't advise it. I wish we had more time at the Museo National de Antropologia! With our 2.5 hours, we were advised to focus on the Teotihucan (Hall 4), Mexica (Hall 6) and Maya (Hall 9)... More

This has to be on your list of must visit places in Mexico City; even if your visiting for 24 hours! Be careful as it's closed on Mondays.... excellent museum but you do need a couple of hours to take it all in!

I can proudly state that this is one of the most vast museums México possesses! Besos! Prepared to run into exhibits and artifacts that have no English description, for they have none, so it would be wise to hire a guide to help you through! The location is filled with outside gardens full of sculptures and gardens that will seduce... More

This museum did not have audio guides, and does not consistently offer guided tours in English. So we wandered around ourselves - essentially this a nice natural history museum of Mexico, covering the major eras of the country's history. The artifacts are well presented, but there is limited information available in English. So go with a guide to get the... More
