If you love baroque painting at its best then the Villalpando exhibit is a must. For those familiar with his work you will find paintings that are in private collections as well as others that were unknown to experts. Absolutely magnificent.

This Palace of Iturbide is on Madero Pedestrian Walk . It's a must not only for its interior art work or special exhibitions but for the home. There are guards at entrance but I was allowed to enter with water and small string backpack. According to Wikipedia, (1779-1785) this is a large palatial home. Built by Count San Mateo Val... More

Banamex has transformed the palace of Mexico's first (but not last) dictator into an essential space for large temporary exhibits designed to showcase Mexican culture throughout the ages. A current exhibit on Mexican fashion from the 40s to the present is jaw-dropping in both the display of wardrobe on offer and its reminder that Mexico has made important contributions to... More

Stumbled in on a beautiful fashion show and saw as much of the building as possible and we were delighted! A wonderfully rich 18th century Mexican palace.

We spent 7 weeks tooling around North America last September/October/November, and I am still doing TripAdvisor reviews as I edit my 3,000-odd photos. As a consequence, I'm having trouble remembering exactly where this museum/palace/gallery was so that I can tell you, because you simply must visit. However, I can tell you that, in terms of the order I took photos,... More

The building itself makes the visit worthwhile. Additionaly the exposition by Javier Marín: " Terra: La materia como idea" displays amazing modern sculptures. The placeis also know as Palacio de Cultura Banamex.
