Our guided Mexican food tours and Mexican cooking lessons are seriously fun. In our Mexican food tours you'll visit some off the beaten path locations in Mexico City, a paradise for foodies. You'll taste food from a variety of one-of-a-kind Mexican eateries while receiving the locals' view into the culture and architecture. Enjoy new culinary perspectives, new flavors, bright smiles, and the opportunity to understand better where and how the locals eat & live. Our goal is that you eat like the locals and get a clear idea of the authentic Mexican Cuisine. Between tastings, you'll experience the life of Mexico City's residents, the so-called "Chilangos", as you enjoy walking around fascinating neighborhoods like Polanco or lovely and authentic markets such as Mercado de San Juan located in Centro Histórico. In our Mexican cooking lessons, you'll cook some delicious Mexican dishes with and expert Mexican chef, an unforgettable experience. We run tours all year round. All food tastings and drinks are included in the ticket price. **Our Polanco food tour ends close to the Anthropology Museum (walking distance), so you might consider spending the rest of your day in the most important museum of our country.

My wife and I were on a kid free trip in Mexico City and a visit to the San Angel neighborhood was recommended so we decided to try Mexican Food Tours. We met Luis at a coffee shop right on the main square and we immediately felt like we were in great hands for this tour. After getting to know... More

The Polanco neighborhood is like Rodeo Drive shopping, walled mansions, and posh restaurants. Our knowledgeable guide, Luis, led us to seven varied restaurants that demonstrated the depth and breath of Mexican cuisine. Luis provided descriptions of the ingredients and preparation of the food we sampled. Did you know that some mole sauces contain 45 ingredients and can take two days... More

Cezar and Connie were just great. They were enthusiastic and seemed genuinely proud of the traditions and origins of a range of mexican dishes. The walk around Polanco was really interesting and fun. The area is full of activity and has a great almost european feel to it. Next time in Mexico City?? A Polanco Food Tour is a must

Wonderful morning spent with Ileana in the traditional Mexican cookery class. She was organised, fun and very knowledgable. We learnt to make several different dishes including two different types of mole, fresh corn tortillas and dessert tamales using authentic ingredients bought at the local market including different dried chiles, cacao, cactus and chicharrón. The food was fun to make and... More

We had an amazing afternoon on this brilliant tour. Having never visited Mexico before we were introduced to the food that makes Mexico famous. The polanco area brings together foods from all different regions and our guide Luis was so passionate and informative. We did the 11am tour and we're grateful to have not eaten breakfast that morning as you... More

We had a wonderful time on our food tour with Luis. We had some amazing food and beverages, and it was great to hear not only what we were eating (which is sometimes a challenge due to our limited Spanish), but the history and culture about each item.

We did the Polanco Food Tour with Luis and had such a great time. We learned a lot, got to try some amazing food, and really got a feel for the Polanco neighborhood as we strolled around. It felt like we really got to try some unique restaurants we would not have found on our own (particularly the cantina, which... More
