I have visited and seen many churches. I have travelled far and wide but never have I seen a church this beautiful and great. The inside is beyond description. The guide was excellent in telling us the history of the church. I have to rate this as the most beautiful church to date. If you are in the area, you... More

You're going to have to pass through the Zocalo, but do your best to keep walking. If you stop you'll get swarmed by super-aggressive vendors. They don't listen to "No, gracias" - the only thing that seemed to work some of the time was "Ya tengo uno/a" (I have one already). It was super frustrating to deal with them.

Seems every time I am there the music invites people to dance. I love to just sit and watch both the dancers and those around the square.

A great little square full of local character. The square is surrounded by silver shops who are not overly pushy. The square has seats with trees to watch time pass by.

Church was in session so we couldn't explore. On the outside, it's a nice pink overlooking a square (as per most towns in Mexico). Taxis are all white beetle cars, which makes the town a little cute in a way. Silver shops everywhere

Loved wandering around Taxco's zocalo. Very small but very quaint. Just what I had in mind when I thought what a Central Mexico village would be like!

You get to know the town by seating at the main plaza an looking at local people and watching how they interact with each other. It is remarkable that we did not see people smoking.
