It's clear, Mexico is proud of it's navy. They spared little expense on this museum It was closed for renovation when we arrived in Veracruz, but opened before we left. It was freshly painted and pristine. The exhibits were extremely well done. The museum follows a counter clockwise circle around the perimeter of the building. Don't be fooled by the... More

Really enjoyed this museum. It has excellent exhibits and has some interesting things for children. Some of the cadets were there and were very helpful and gave us more information about the museum.

The museum is well maintained and has some nice exhibits. But given the long naval history of Mexico and Veracruz in particular, there is not a lot to see. Plan to spnd an hour or so if you want to take in every exhibit fully, a half hour otherwise.

It is interactive museum with a lot of multimedia halls. It is located close to Malecon and is easy to park or... More

This new museum is really outstanding. It shows the naval history of the country from precolonial times to the present. Many interactive games help you to enter a world long ago - if you try to build a ship yourself, navigate on the ocean or accompany Cortés on his siege of Tenochtitlán. You enter the world of the oceans with... More

A real modern museum, at 45 pesos per adult. Easy to spend 2 or 3 hours checking out the history in the comfort of AC. I would not hesitate to take friends and family there when visiting Veracruz.

Well run professional museum with active duty seamen as staff. Presented the history of the Mexican navy up to current times. Some detailed models of old sailing ships with sectional views. Large computer simulation where one can take a ship out of harbor. Some unique gifts in the gift shop. I bought some shot glasses for friends that collect.
