Basically, Cancun shopping is worse that any used car lot you've ever experienced. The Plaza Caracol is much better. But do not, I repeat NOT wait and do your shopping at the airport. The plaza was clean and the values were good. For example you can get (2) 750ml of Kahlua for here for about 10% more that a single... More

There are much better malls in Cancun, but if you are already walking by you will probably find an inexpensive souvenior. It's better than dealing with the hustlers just around the corner in the open air shops.

Was recommended by hotel staff for local souvenirs . Many shops but was not busy at all which meant you attracted the attention of all the shop owners wanting to sell you something . You can barter the prices.

The only saving grace is there a Starbucks. Otherwise, small shops with merchandise that can be found anywhere. I would rather shop in the grocery market next door.

When we first came to Cancun in 1987 and for years after, Plaza Caracol was a wonderful place with a lot of shops and restaurants. Iguana Wanna was one of our favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, it was severely damaged during Hurricane Wilma in October 2005 and never recovered after that. There are only a few stores left and not... More

Do not waste your time going to this plaza, only a few stores in the first floor are open and the rest is closed for business, it looks like this shopping center was used a long time ago but now is mostly abandoned, if it wasn't for Starbucks it would probably have no traffic at all.

It is just across the street and has a few nice shops. We always go into La Mer, It has nice sea shells and jewelry. Also, there is a Starbucks for those who like this sort of thing. Bargains can be had here! Go later in the morning after the a/c has a chance to cool things down. They shut... More

If you are looking for a nice variety of silver jewelry and fair prices head straight to Sol y Luna in the Plaza Caracol shopping mall. This is the place to shop! I usually visit Cancun every year and Sol y Luna has been my jewelry store of choice since the mid 90's.

This has been a premier mall but is having hard times now. Top floor is empty now. We shopped at the pharmacy there and got soe excellent jewelry deals at Sol de Luna jewelry store. Hope it gets better..it was my favorite place to shop.
