Ave. Kukulcan is kind of the main avenue where many of the big hotels in Cancun are located. It's not as busy as closer to downtown plus there are three nice malls (two of them outdoors) where you find restaurants, coffee shops, liquor stores, souvenirs, a large grocery store, drug stores, banks and ATM's and even an aquarium. If you... More

This avenue will show you the best and worst of Cancun. The hotels, beaches, nightlife and restaurants are all accesible along this avenue. The incredible sunset views over the lagoon and everything the Hotel Sector of Cancun has to offer are along this single avenue. The down side however is how tourists are treated by some of the people rendering... More

By far the easiest way to get around on a budget. Buses R1/R2 run all day on the main hotel strip (ave. Kukulkan) and beyond. With as little as ¢.50 USD or $10.50 MXN per person you can travel the entire strip and more!

Pushy locals trying to sell you stuff and they take offence if you don't stop by to look. Apparently "no thank you" is being rude. Restaurants over rated and over priced. Do your research and go to restaurants off the strip. Don't get stopped to take photos with the Coco Bongo characters... they want you to pay $10 US for... More

The traffic in the hotel zone is really looking like rush hour in any big US city. Don't try to go downtown after 5pm it may take you awhile. It's good to see that Cancun has come back and people from all over the world have returned. Great city and it's people.

You have to go shopping here. It is right by Ruth's Chris. Great stores, indoors, beautiful stained glass (?) ceiling, and Soriana upstairs is the best place to go for snacks, hot food like tacos, and any groceries you might need.

Take a bus up and down along the blvd. Multiple sights along the way, such as Playa Delfines, Museo de Maya, El Rey Ruinas, Shopping and beaches. Easy to walk also, but beware of the narrow side walks and watch out for the buses who runs very fast along the road.
