Lunch before departure

Very nice place, service and food. I found this place, on my last stroll before departure. Frankly the best view in town. Highly recommend a stop in.

This was a small museum related to the island of Cozumel. We enjoyed seeing some exhibits about coral reefs, local wildlife, and history/pirates. Our favorite spot was the recreation of a Mayan house/hut. This isn't a must-see activity, but if you have a spare hour or so, we enjoyed taking a look around the museum.

I enjoyed this small museum. A short cab ride from the pier (for about $8) and a small admission fee to enter (around $4), it was worth it to see the artifacts and learn more about the local culture. Great view of the water from the restaurant balcony!

We were walking around Cozumel and walked by. I decided to go in because they looked to have a Day of the Dead exhibit. My husband sat outside on a bench. There are four main display rooms and an outside area. It is just $4 if you only go to the museum. You can also go to the restaurant after... More

This was another stop on our island tour. Not much here and can easily be seen in an hour or less. If you're not into marine life and local animal life vignettes this wont interest you.

My sister and I love the view and the food for breakfast at the 'Museum'. It is an open air balcony restaurant above the true culture of the island. The Museum is worth the time to visit and see local artwork and objects of the Mayan culture.

Great place to learn about the history and biodiversity of Cozumel ! My family and I loved going through all the history and learning about the coral reefs as on our day off from scuba diving them. Great, had English as well as Spanish translations next to everything and was just a great experience.

Four rooms of marine life, relics and artifacts, Mayan island history and Spanish arrival. Well done small local museum! Take the time to see this for a little more depth into the island

The Museo de lo Isla de Cozumel was a great place to stop in during a brief rain storm. We intended to wander around until the rain stopped, but ended up spending the better part of the afternoon here. We learned a lot about the ecosystem, geology, history, and other interesting facts pertaining to Cozumel. I would definitely recommend stopping... More

Worth a visit so that you can get a feel for the place. Did learn quite a bit for instance Sir Francis Drake was a pirate (well in effect I guess he was) and the Golden Hind a pirate ship. It does human interest (pirates, mayan rituals), geology, archaeology and various other historical bits. Does take long to go around... More
