Beach is nice, the restaurant is nice, the snorkeling is fair (but I am a snorkeling snob) and equipment is cheap but works well enough. The seal lion show is okay but if you have been to sea world skip it. Safe location with lockers to rent.

I am an avid diver, just being honest, because really you cannot get a bad dive anywhere in Cozumel, I have a camera and like lots of sea life, I don't think this is the place. sometimes after a deep dive then this is ok,its a little colder, from fresh water, and to me now there is not a lot of... My dream came true, got my Open Water Dive Certification and had a chance to dive in Chankanaab reefs, it is something that you can't describe in simple words, amazing underwater world!

Took a personal guided dive with an instructor. Underwater caves, statues, and a diverse community of fish. Best place I've ever dived!

We started our snorkeling adventure via Tortuga's Beach Club. We brought our own snorkel gear, but they have an area you can rent them too. We were able to leave our bags, etc, at a table at the restaurant there and everything was safe. It took a little bit of swimming before we started really seeing the fish and coral.... More

This dive my wife and I went on together after her "Introduction to scuba" class. Her instructor, Ricardo, was very nice and safe and got her through her initial apprehension of breathing underwater. We had to request him specifically but he was more than happy to oblige. Great time here.

Chankanaab is a beautiful place to snorkle and though I don't dive, I'd imagine that would be better yet. The water is crystal clear and the reef was bright and full of fish. The beach is a nice clean place to relax as well. Highly recommend for those of you who wish to see marine life without having to pay... More
