We liked the history and the atmosphere so much we went back two straight days to take pictures and read the history. The full story is worth the time to understand what you are looking at.

We had the whole place to ourselves, fun to wonder around and explore the ruins. Very reasonable 20 peso entrance fee, plenty of iguana watching too!

We drove by this spot every day during the week we were on the island and it was never open. It looks to be abandoned in the entry. Sad to see this piece of history disappear.

You pay a small $3 admission to stroll the grounds. It needs some upkeep. The garden path is worth the walk.

It only cost $20 pesos per person but really wasn't worth the stop. The supposed gardens are overgrown with no appeal. There are many lguanas some as big as cats! They run fast and a few came right at us which was slightly scary. The...More

After several visits to the island, I finally got to "tour" the Hacienda Mundaca grounds. It was only a couple of dollars to gain access. There was any information regarding how you should walk around to see everything. The buildings did have some old faded...More
