If you visit Playa del Carmen, you need to put this place on your to do list. This cenote is unbelievable. We took a cab from Centro Playa and it cost us $100 pesos ($7 CDN) This cenote is out of the way so it's not full of tourists and groups.I would also recommend going in the afternoon as it's... A quick trip from Playa Del Carmen via taxi, 300 pesos and 500 pesos entrance, included gear and locker. The wait for a group was about 30 minutes. Cenote was beautiful, guide (Ricardo) was extremely knowledgeable, water wasn't cold. One smaller group without a photographer would be better and one language would be optimal. Not a lot of time to... More

Had a great time and learned a lot about the history and science behind the cenotes. Ricardo was a terrific and informed guide!

THIS WAS FANTASTIC. Best thing we did, it was part of our excursion for our cruise and we could not have had a better time! There was a photographer with us who took photos, so even if you didn't have your phone or camera (which you could of course bring with you) you still got a really nice professional photo.... More

This was located just outside of Playa Del Carmen. We stayed at Royalton Riviera and we took a taxi which was about 30 mins - roundtrip was about $80USD. Entrance fee was about $20USD. The taxi waited at the cenote until we were done. We got lucky as there was only another couple there, which made it feel like a... More

While in Playa del Carmen at an Airbnb our host recommended this cenote as a place to visit. Definitely was worth the 500 pesos each to go. Over two hours underground in the caverns and in the water. Our guide, Luigi, had an excellent command of english and was very informative. He looked after us well! Thanks Luigi! We saw... More

Came here early and luckily was the first group to go out. We drove here from pdc and google maps gave us a sketchy route but all you really have to do is drive straight down Ave Benito Juarez, it takes you straight there. So glad we went, wish there was more downtime. Wetsuits and shoes are included. Bring a... More

I think it could be a better place. The cenote is beautiful, but there is a lot of people who take it as a adventure sport place... and dont know or live what is it exactly a Cenote. There are not control, not a person in charge of secure vests, the scalar or (onl one) is dangerous, specially when the... More

This was our only experience in a snorkeling through a cenote, although we've all seen stalagtites before. We enjoyed exploring the caves and caverns of Chaak Tun, and Ricardo was an excellent guide; friendly and knowledgeable and a good eco-steward. Getting there from Playa del Carmen was easy; it took us about 20 minutes in our rental car using google... More
