Underground water paradise in the Riviera Maya, this visit will certainly be a unique experience like no other, mystical and extreme, you can snorkel or dive in the cavern full of formations.

I've visited and snorkeled in a few cenotes over the years, but I have not had such a great experience as I had here. All tours are guided and go out every 30-45 minutes or so. You understand why pretty quickly. This cenote is pretty...More

visiting a cenote is a must do in Quintana Roo - Sac Actun is maybe not the most famous but for sure a good example. pro: it is not crowded and not a dangerous activity at all. Water is quite cold (around 23°C), con: the...More

Highly recommend! Only $30 for a full hour guided tour/swim. The water is cold, but as you should expect.

Honestly what a rip off and shame. At the front gate pay the 350 pesos and go elsewhere. These people are RUDE. I just wanted to swim around. I don't want a guided tour or to go through the caves. 500 pesos / 40 usd...More

We really enjoyed the cave snorkeling tour on our recent trip to Tulum and would highly recommend this cenote! We love caves. It was very interesting seeing the formations in the cave and below the surface.

Got to the cenote by taxi in the morning and were the only ones there. Our guide Antonio took us through the cenote and it was a very different experience from snorkeling in the ocean. No bacteria, no fish. But the formations are beautiful, and...More

Sac Actun is not indicated on the regular tourist map. We selected it for that particular reason. We arrived without a reservation which was not a problem. The Cenotes tour operator were immediately there for us to provide us with an introduction and an overview...More

At the advice of our cab driver, we opted to visit Sac Actun instead of the more well known Dos Ojos . Both cenotes are accessed from the same highway exit - Sac Actun is just 7 mins minutes farther down the same dirt road...More

Cool caves, but too many people on the tour. Be prepared water is cold, but it is worth it. Don't be fooled by going to los ojos, this is much better.

Our guide was amazing, I certainly have never done anything like that before. I would pay the extra money for the flashlight in my opinion.

I don't think you are even allowed to go without a guide and they provide everything you need. We're weren't allowed to use the flippers we brought and they don't like you using sunscreen - but you're down in a cave so you... More

I paid about $30USD. They require you to have a guide. I got there early and told the guide that I really just needed a quick 20 min tour and I'd be good. I ended up getting a FULL, PRIVATE tour (about 45 min) with my... More
