We decided to stop at the Debengeni Falls to see the waterfall and facilities. Truely beautiful.. very safe and clean. Loads of picnic tables and beautiful spots to picnic... hiking trails seem well marked, will definitely be back. Pack a picnic basket, you won’t want...More

We came here to find a Tzaneen gem. It was an easy drive to get there, with parking very close to the actual waterfall. The waterfall is beautiful, as expected! It is enclosed so swimming is not allowed. The rest of the area is surrounded...More

It’s a nice and beautiful location to take a break or do a pick nick but aside from that, do not expect to much.

The Debengeni Falls are a beautiful sight for any holidaymaker to see. You can spend a calm afternoon there with your picnic or braai (barbecue), or you can seek adventure by hiking along the waterfall, swimming in the pools, and traversing the rocks (all at...More

The gravel road from the R71 to the site is lengthy and a SUV and/or AWD vehicle will make for a comfortable ride. We paid R10 per person and R10 per vehicle at the entrance to the site. The drive to the parking area down...More

Debengeni Waterfall is the the nice place for picnic and family outing, I will definitely visit again. However I have picked up the following that will require serious attention: 1. The place has a high risk of slippery, management must consider putting a big notice...More

You must pay to enter at the top of the hill and drive to the bottom on a rough track before a short walk to the falls. The falls are lovely but made the mistake of going on a hot Sunday, very crowded. But what...More

The waterfall is lovely, but getting there if you cannot climb up and down a very steep gradient is very difficult. No parking at lower level so parked on top and 800 m or so pure agony getting up and down. Make sure you are...More

Debengeni Falls is easy to access, also for people who are not well at foot, more exact the part at the bottom of the fall where there are also possibilities provided for braai. Acces to the lower parts are a bit steeper.

I know this is late but for future reference for other travelers. No booking is needed. But most importantly do take hard cash with you to pay for your entrance.

Unfortunately don't have any contact details. We stopped at Magoebaskloof Hotel for breakfast and they gave me some information about the falls.
