Great Views; particularly of the wind turbines which pump the sea water away from the land. Yes, a gem.

On a sudden side trip, we went to Urk. It is like many of our old waterman based town. I love light houses and this one was quaint, class with what was probably a great view from above and a nice view from the base....More

This lighthouse is relatively small and not that well kept up. It is now operated by a government office (Rijkswaterstaat).

This is a must-have place to visit whenever you are in Amsterdam or the Netherlands. It's a bit of drive from Amsterdam, but it's well worth it, especially the view.

Can't miss this as a part of the tour through the old 'isle' Urk! You clearly can see over the IJsselmeer and even see other city's across the lake.

Nice views upstairs and interredting enough for a ten minute visit. Worthwhile but don't get too excited. Good as part of a tour of Urk

When visiting URK the walk through the harbour to the lighthouse is a must. Next to the Lighthouse is a restaurant named lands end which offers nice meals with an excellent view

Visited it with my friend for a day. Great old city what still shows that it was fisherman city. Old boats and great view if you walk past the lighthouse towards pier, that's the whole town
