Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Canada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. If you are interested in adventure tours we can offer activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling... We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Canada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area. And many other activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling...

We visited San Miguel and were looking for a nice horse back riding tour, not too long nor too short. We decided to do the 2 hour tour at sunset, perfect to enjoy the sunset and the town at night. Pollo was cool, a good...More

We did two adventures with Coyote Canyon. The communication was great, they always responded to us right away. The hot air balloon ride was serene and thrilling, but our favorite was the ATV because it was more active and got the adrenaline pumping. It was...More

Diego was our guide, and he was just fantastic. We began with an encounter with chickens and goats and a traditional home cooked breakfast at a cooperative farm. It would have included cheese making if it had been rainy season. The horseback ride was just...More

Fun exploration of canyon and dry river bed. Excellent horses. No nonsense, well trained horses that knew where to go. Stunning views of canyon. Our French guide Marie was chatty and effervescent. Lunch afterwards at home ranch was pleasant vegetarian family-style.

This was the most fun I ever had on vacation. They contract it out to a smaller company in town. First you get to see some history, old churches and bridges. Then we drove around the lake some and when the guide saw our group...More

This was such a great experience. You felt like you were riding with friends on their ranch. The well trained horses walked on the beautiful mountain trails and we had the opportunity to gallop if we chose. We even ran into a herd of cattle....More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
has anyone done the zip line with Coyote Canyon before? I would also be taking a 15 year old and a 12 year old. Also, how far from Guanajuato is the zip lining?

Have not done the ziplining. We enjoyed the horseback riding.
Is there a weight restriction for the horseback tours. I'm 280 but solid... Most places have a 250 rule.

Hello, Thank you for contacting us. There is a maximum weight for the horseback ridings that is 250 pounds.
