This garden was designed to imitate a French garden because the mayor of the city at the time thought that was the height of fashion. El Jardin became the central park (it wasn't originally) after the plants, trees and benches were installed and the gazebo...More

Nice place to relax and watch the world go by, enjoy spontaneous performances or music, have a snack, and do some people watching.

My husband and I visited San Miguel de Allende for a month while taking Spanish lessons at Habla Hispana. We came to El Jardin most days for our lunch and a wonderful dose of people-watching. This is a historic point, centered on the famous Parroquia,...More

There is just so much happening at this time of the evening. Dancing, music, interesting people walking around, not to mention the gorgeous Gardens themselves

A morning jog through the jardin (garden) or afternoon stroll, this is a beautiful and very peaceful park. Though it is called a "garden" it is SMA version of a city park-think Central Park NYC. Surrounded by exquisite estate homes and some hotels and restaurants....More

El Jardin if the immediate heart of San Miguel and is a collection of shops and eating establishments around the impressive cathedral and parks. There is always something going on, especially weekends where wedding processions parade down the cobblestone streets. Fabulous culture and vibe.
