Academia, as it's called around town, is still doing a fine job. They are located in a beautiful building. Teachers are generally excellent, and the curriculum can be demanding. They often place students at too high a level. If you start taking classes and feel frustrated, don't hesitate to tell them that you want a lower level. A friend spent... More

Loved, loved, loved my time at AHA Spanish. I didn't stay long enough. Every teacher and class was excellent, a good variety, challenging but manageable. The home stay family was lovely and their home close by with a nice, clean room and good meals. I adore San Miguel, and I'll definitely return again for more classes.

I spent February 2017 in AHA's Immersion Spanish program and it was truly inspiring, informative and took my Spanish language skills to the next level. I attended classes from 8:30 to 1:45 (with breaks, of course!) each Monday through Thursday and returned for great cultural and history lessons in Spanish from 3:30 - 6:00pm. On Fridays, optional cooking classes were... More

We rented our apt here through Airbnb. I took classes from 8:30 -1:45 and then chose to come to a lecture history at 3:45. Both teachers i have this year are organized excellent at teaching new information with patience and repetition I was hear a year ago and chose to come back again. The city is small enough to walk... My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Academia Hispano Americana classes. The teachers and staff were enthusiastic, professional, and fun. The school is in an old and beautiful building near the center of San Miguel. We hope to return very soon for more espanol!

My wife and I spent the last month at the AHA. It was really great. We had classes from 8:30 to 11:30 every day and then an optional pronunciation and diction class from 11:30 to 12:45. In addition there are afternoon lectures if you want to just liisten and learn. Full immersion is definitely the way to go. There's simply... More

We were able to schedule Spanish lessons two afternoons at this school. I'm sure we would have benefited from more lessons, but we will need to come back again.

It was my first immersion class, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I was impressed with the curriculum, the teachers and the setting, which is beautiful. The staff and faculty were all very pleasant and helpful. Jessica was my grammar teacher, and I appreciated her patience. My only suggestion is that the pronunciation class replace some of... More

I attended a two week session here and loved it! The emphasis was on conversation but reading, writing, and grammar were not ignored. Everyone was supportive and easy to work with. There are added field trips (I went to Guanajuato for the day) and cooking classes (I learned to make chiles rellenos - hands-on demos). Met some great people!! There... More

Our review is many months behind our first experience in August 2015! However, no less enthusiastic than we are to return this August 2016. My husband I attended and loved every class presented. The initial evaluation proved to be just what we both needed and helped us both the be in the classes we belonged. I loved the atmosphere and... More
