Ignacio Allende's grand house in the center of town. English translations in each room recount the history of the Revolution, but the chronological order of things can get confusing if you don't enter the rooms in the right order. There are a few recreations of...More

S.M. de A. is the birth place of the Mexican Revolution. There is English on the bottom of the information cards in each room of the tour. Allende suffered for what he believed in. This was his house that he got from his father. The...More

Very interesting house with lots of history. VERY limited information in English, but I was able to figure a lot of out with no Spanish speaking skills.

Although it is poor in exhibition it is a good place to go because we can have information about the birth of the city and who was Allende and his importance to Mexican people.

There is a small charge to see this museum, but worth it. There are English translations on most exhibits. Two floors, accessible by stairs. No elevator. As is the usual w/most museums, this is a little dry. History buffs should really enjoy it, however.

A somewhat small, but decent museum that highlights Allende and his time period. If your interested in history, it's worth a visit, but if history is not your thing, you could probably skip this and not miss anything.

This museum is located in what used to be Ignacio Allende's house. It recreates the rooms as they were when Allende and his family lived there. All the furniture is original. I think this is a fun museum and kids get to learn by visiting...More
